Before Secret Aaaaygent Man..

...there was Danger Man starring the same Patrick McGoohan as John Drake, an agent for NATO.  (Secret Aaaaygent Man worked for MI9.)  I remember the Secret Aaaaygent Man song, but no details of the show.  Now, I'm filling in some of my childhood blanks by watching the original Danger Man.  The show had a mere half hour to present, complicate, then solve some problem of international import.  The first John Drake had few secret-agent type devices to help him; perhaps NATO had no Q-type person.  I can imagine early John Drake telling later John Drake how in the old days he had to depend on his fists, his gun, his charm, and his brain.  Nowadays, super secret agents are spoiled!  (Later John Drake rolls his eyes.)

Tack för det gångna året, det är fantastiskt roligt att blogga när det är så många som läser och kommenterar och är med i diskussionen. Ni förgyller min värld! German kitchen manufacturer Warendorf (former Miele DIE KUCHE) chose Philippe Starck to design their first kitchen line. Four new designer kitchens have been introduced under the new brand name. “The Library” aims to reinforce the connection between culture and food, “The Primary” offers some yellow neobaroque aesthetics, “The Duality” is accessible from two sides and “The Tower” rotates through 360° to deliver a brand new kitchen experience. All of them offer fabulous design and show that the combination beautiful – functional is not an oxymoron. The four kitchens are complemented by matching dining tables with shiny chrome trumpet

Rustikt versus modernt

En 250 år gammal lada i Frankrike blev så här snygg efter en renovering. Jag gillar balansen mellan det rustika lantliga och det moderna nästan industribetonade. Kammarljusstaken trendig

Cia Wedin mailade mig och tipsade att det finns otroligt många fina kammarljusstakar i ny design just nu. 'Björkefall' från IKEA, design Jon Eliason, har man ju sett en hel del av i de stylade magasinen den senaste tiden. Den svarta ljusstaken är av svartlackad stålepoxibas och den vita är i vitglaserad stengods. Bilder IKEA.

Axel Bjurströms 'Vesper' i polerad aluminium har en enkel och klassiskt design. Georg Jensens ljusstake 'Variation' har ett behändigt litet fat istället för öglan.

Bloomingvilles ljuva vårfärger

Puh, jul, vilken pärs. Är helt slut, eller nja.. inte riktigt. Jag var helt slut på julaftons kväll men sedan dess har jag bara slappat, ätit godis och sett på tv. Rena fördärvet alltså, känner mig helt försoffad. Men häromdagen damp Bloomingvilles nya vår- och sommarkatalog 2010 ner i brevlådan och den måste jag bara dela med mig av. Den är fullproppad med ljuvliga femtiotals pasteller och har en så härlig vår och sommarkänsla.
